{"id":95,"date":"2013-11-30T20:55:38","date_gmt":"2013-11-30T20:55:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.electrongoo.org\/?p=95"},"modified":"2013-11-30T20:55:38","modified_gmt":"2013-11-30T20:55:38","slug":"understanding-the-integrity-checker-user-interface","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/support.electrongoo.com\/?p=95","title":{"rendered":"Understanding the Integrity Checker user interface"},"content":{"rendered":"<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/integrity-checker.com\/images\/bluearrow.jpg\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/><\/td>\n<td>Integrity Checker is an easy to use application.\u00a0 Here is a walk-through discussing some points of interest.\u00a0 The screen-shots are taken from Windows Home Server but they apply to WHS\/SBS 2011 as well.<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/integrity-checker.com\/images\/bluearrow.jpg\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/><\/td>\n<td>The user interface is divided into three areas: folder selection, status, and tasks<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><\/td>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"main UI\" src=\"http:\/\/integrity-checker.com\/images\/screens\/whs\/uiwalkthrough.png\" width=\"630\" height=\"439\" \/><\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/integrity-checker.com\/images\/bluearrow.jpg\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/><\/td>\n<td>The Folder Selection area displays all of the Shares available on your Server.\u00a0 The first two columns are the name and description given by you when you created the Shares.\u00a0 The third column, titled Watching, shows whether you have enabled Integrity Checker to watch the Share to create integrity stamps on all files within the Share.\u00a0 You can right-click on any Share to enable or disable Integrity checker for that Share.\u00a0 If you disable a Share then Integrity Checker will no longer create integrity stamps on new\/changed files within that Share.\u00a0 Note, integrity stamps which have already been applied to existing files in the Share will remain even after you disable a Share.<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/integrity-checker.com\/images\/bluearrow.jpg\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/><\/td>\n<td>The Status area provides many details about the current operation of Integrity Checker.\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Last File&#8221;<\/strong> shows the name of the file which was most recently updated with an integrity stamp.\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Last Date&#8221;<\/strong> shows the date when this file was updated.\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Files Processed&#8221;<\/strong> shows the total number of files, as well as the total combined size, which have been updated with an integrity stamp.\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Queued&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0 shows how much work (i.e. the number files and folders which require integrity stamps) Integrity Checker has remaining.\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Integrity Scans&#8221;<\/strong> shows the total number of scans you&#8217;ve run (completed) and are available to review; it also shows the total number of active scans being run (queued). <strong>\u00a0&#8220;Last Scan Date&#8221;<\/strong> shows the time and date of the last completed integrity scan that you ran.<\/td>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/integrity-checker.com\/images\/bluearrow.jpg\" width=\"25\" height=\"22\" \/><\/td>\n<td>The Task area gives you quick access to running and viewing Integrity Checker operations.\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Pause Operation&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0 allows you to stop Integrity checker from creating new integrity stamps.\u00a0 When running in real-time or scheduled mode, Integrity Checker will continue to find\/queued new and changed files but will not create new integrity stamps until you resume operation.\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;Verify Integrity Stamp On A File&#8221;<\/strong> will allow you to view the current integrity stamp and compare that stamp. <strong>\u00a0&#8220;Run An Integrity Scan&#8221;<\/strong> will start an integrity scan; you have the option of scanning a single file, a selected folder, or a complete system scan.\u00a0 <strong>&#8220;View Integrity Scan Results&#8221;<\/strong> allows you to view all completed integrity scans, all status &#8211;
